Abstract
Abstract Water, methanol and isopropylamine react with mono-and bi-cyclic boroxazolidones (2a and 3a) by attacking the boron atom and not the CO group, with formation of aminodiacid and tricoordinated boron compounds. The boron compounds undergo successive B C cleavage catalysed by the aminodiacid released.
