Abstract

Analog:, of o-(2-aminoethyldithio) benzoic acid (I), ail active antiradiation drug, are reported. They n-ere prepared by thioalkylating thiols with thiolsulfonates. Activity was riot confined to a zwitterionic structure typified by acid 1, ririce replacement of COZH by C1, CHIC), or HOCHZ gave active compounds, but the most promising analogs were zwitterions in which the HOzC of 1 was replaced by H03S (9) or the 2-aminoethyl moiety by Zpyridylmethyl (12 ...
