Abstract

The oxidation of substituted diethyl a-benzylmalonates (la-m) by manganese (II1) acetate in acetic acid, cerium (1V) ammonium nitrate in methanol, or iron (II1) perchlorate in acetonitrile in the presence of substituted olefm 2a-u was investigated.
