Abstract
Abstract Rate constants of reaction of cyclopentadienylidene, fluorenylidene and tetrachlorocyclopentadienylidene with alcohols and other quenchers were determined by laser flash photolysis methods. The rate constants of reaction of cyclopentadienylidene and fluorenylidene with various alcohols were determined and found to increase with increasing alcohol acidity.
