Abstract

Abstract Triacetic lactone derived compounds and Cd (II) and Hg (II) complexes have been synthesized, characterized and screened for biological activities. Antibacterial activity was carried out against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Bacillus subtilis, Streptococcus mutans and Sarcina lutae.
