Abstract
A series of final twelve propanoyloxy derivatives of 5β-cholan-24-oic acid (O-propanoyl derivatives of cholic acid) as potential drug absorption modifiers (skin penetration enhancers, intestinal absorption promoters) was generated by multistep synthesis.
