Abstract

Although 2,2-dimethylpropanesulfinyl chloride reacts with zinc in C 6 H 6 or CCl 4 to give the corresponding thiosulfonate as major product, the reaction in C 2 D 10 O, C 2 H 10 O, and CD 3 CN affords the corresponding thiosulfinate as the major product.
