Abstract: As part of an overall program investigating the behavior of a-electron systems forced into close proximity, a synthesis of [25](1, 2, 3, 4, 5) cyclophane (11) has been accomplished in six steps, as shown in Scheme I, with an overall yield of 31%. The key to ...
