Abstract The directiospecificity and stereochemistry of the addition of nucleophiles (Me 2 NH, MeS⊖ and MeO⊖), of electrophiles (HCl and H 3 O⊕) and of the free radical C 2 H 5 S to Me 2 P (O) C [TRIPLE BOND] C [BOND] SMe and Et 2 P (O) C [TRIPLE BOND] C [BOND] SMe have been studied.
