Abstract

Abstract Interaction of metallic salts (M= Hg, Sb, and Te) with bis (triorganotin) oxide,(R 3 Sn) 2 O, where (R= C 6 H 5, p-CH 3 C 6 H 4, and cyclo-C 6 H 11) at room temperature proceeded with the simultaneous cleavage of the Sn [BOND] C and Sn [BOND] O bonds, invariably yielding R 2 SnO along with other products. Thus the treatment of HgX 2 (X= Cl, CN, SCN) with (R 3 Sn) 2 O resulted in the formation of polymeric diorganotin oxide R 2 ...
