Abstract

Abstract Sulfur or nitrogen analogues of monooxo crown ethers were prepared via intramolecular cyclization of the corresponding thia or aza oligoethylene glycol carboxylmethyl ethers by using benzenesulfonyl chloride in the presence of alkali metal carbonates.
