Abstract

Abstract A series of derivatives including esters, amides, and substituted amides of 1- (heterocyclic)-1, 2,-dihydro-2-oxopyridine-5-carboxylic acids have been synthesized. The 1- (heterocyclic) moiety has been varied as pyridine, thiazole, and thiadiazole units. The compounds were prepared for an evaluation of their effect upon the central nervous system.
