Abstract

As a modification of Shaw's procedure, hydrogen sulfide is condensed (-70') into isopropanol in a glass bomb. 3 The quinuclidinone is added and the sealed reaction mixture stirred at 40'for 15 hrs. Longer reaction times or higher temperatures resulted in less workable reaction mixtures.
