Abstract
A very effective chiral controller has been found for the conversion of allylic alcohols into the corresponding enantiomerically enriched cyclopropanes using bis (iodomethyl) zinc. A variety of chiral, nonracemic cyclopropylmethanols could be obtained according to this method.
