Abstract We have demonstrated that intramolecular hypercoordination of a carboxylic acid is a powerful activation strategy for the palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction of trialkyl (vinyl) silanes and trialkyl (vinyl) germanes under fluoride-free conditions.
