Abstract
3-Pyridyl-U-benznmidopropyl Ketone.-A portion of the above picrate was treated with an excess of 6 N HCl, and the precipitated picric acid was filtered off. The acid filtrate was extracted with ether to remove traces of picric acid. The aqueous layer was chilled in ice, and enough sodium hydroxide wa5 added to rnakc the mixture just alkaline.
