Abstract

Although cinnamamide and various N-substituted derivatives have been known for many years, only a few studies have been made of the chemistry of these a,@-unsaturated carbonyl compounds. It seemed of interest to carry out several experiments to compare the reactivity of such compounds with that of the cy,@-unsaturated ketones with which we have been concerned in this LaboratoryS2
