Abstract
Methods. Kinetics of reaction of phenolate ions with the aryl esters were measured by introducing an aliquot (0.02 mL) of a stock solution of the ester (in water if the methyl phosphates; in acetonitrile if the diethyl phosphates) on the flattened tip of a narrow glass rod to the buffer solution (2.5 mL) containing the phenol at the required concentration.
