Abstract

Abstract Conditions of aromatization of 2-(2-hetaryl) imidazolines and their analogs with various dehydrogenating agents were examined. A new catalytic system, Pd/C-diphenyl oxide, was studied, and the optimal catalyst: imidazoline ratio ensuring formation of 2- substituted imidazoles in high yield was found.
