Abstract
Method 1.-The preparation of AT-n-butylacetamide is a typical example of a preparation by method I. A mixture of 13.1 g of triphenylphosphine, 50 ml of CClr, and 150 ml of THF was refluxed together for 30 min. The solution was cooled in an ice-water bath to 5'and 2.85 ml of AcOH was added.
