Abstract
Flavonoids are natural compounds widely distributed in higher plants. Many of them possess biological activitiea potentially exploitable in the biomedical field as antiinflammat~ ry,'-~ antiinfluenza virus,'antiulcer: capillary protecting, 2 antitum~ r,~'and in radical scavanger activity.*'O Inhibition of protein-tyrosine kinase" J2 and phosphatidyl-inositol kinase13 by flavonoids has also been reportad.
