Abstract Eine neue Synthese von 1.2; 7.8-Dibenzo-anthracenen (9), ausgehend von 4.6- Dinitro-m-xylol und aromatischen Aldehyden, wurde entwickelt. 3.4. 5.6-Tetrahydro-1.2; 7.8- dibenzo-anthracen (6) wurde zur 5′. 4 ″-Bis-brommethyl-Verbindung 8 umgesetzt, die zu dem makrocyclischen System 13 cyclisiert werden konnte.
