Abstract Cyclic voltammetry and controlled-potential electrolysis were employed to study the catalytic reduction of five phenyl-conjugated haloalkynes by nickel (I) salen electrogenerated at carbon cathodes in dimethylformamide containing tetramethylammonium tetrafluoroborate.
