Abstract

A series of aromatic compounds possessing imide and quinone electron-acceptor groups were prepared using Diels-Alder reactions. These linear, aromatic compounds were studied using cyclic voltammetry and reduced electrochemically to produce solutions of the corresponding anion radicals.
