Abstract

Two problems have hindered the Gomberg-Bachmann (GB) and Pschorr reactions of arenediazonium cations: the instability of the arenediazonium salts and side reactions. Arenediazonium tetrafluoroborate and hexafluorophosphate salts can be prepared in high yield and purity and can be stored safely.
