Abstract A series of substituted planar chiral flavinium salts with a phenyl “cap” have been prepared as potential catalysts for enantioselective sulfoxidation reactions with hydrogen peroxide by using an approach based on the synthesis of (arylamino) uracils and their condensation with substituted nitrosobenzenes.
