Abstract

Mono-and bis (arene) tricarbonylchromium complexes of (CH3) zE (C6H5) 2 [Cr (Co) 3] x, where E= C, Si, Ge, Sn, and Pb, and (CH3) 2Sn (CH2C6H5) 2 [Cr (C0) 3] x and (CH3) zSn (C6H5CH3-p) 2 [Cr (CO) 3] x, where x= 1 (mono) and 2 (bis), are prepared from Cr (CO) 6 in diglyme-tetrahydrofuran (THF) solutions or from Cr (C0) 3 (NH3) 3 in refluxing dioxane.
