Abstract

The design of newer methods for the synthesis of N-containing heterocyclic moiety is essential in organic chemistry owing to its biological and pharmacologically point of view. The pyridazin-3(2H)-ones and their dihydro derivatives show wide biological activity; they constitute the pyridazinone class of herbicides, which are carotenoid biosynthesis inhibitors [1], and also act as fungicide and insecticides [2].
