Abstract
Abstract Incorporation of a redox-passive bridge affords three identical redox systems in the triskelion-shaped, carbon-rich, polyvinylidenemetal complex 1. The complex was isolated from the activation of the tripodal polyyne 1, 3, 5-(HC≡ CC 6 H 4 C≡ C) 3 C 6 H 3 with [RuCl 2 ({(Ph 2 P) 2 C 2 H 4} 2] and further converted into polyynylmetal complexes and a triple ferrocenyl-substituted ruthenium complex.
