Abstract
Chiral auxiliary mediated asymmetric induction has attracted the attention of organic chemists, in recent years, for the preparation of enantiomerically pure molecules. l-10 We, herein, report our studies for the preparation of chiral a-and B-hydroxy acids using trans-2- phenylcyclohexanol as a chiral auxiliary.
