Abstract
The arene complexes of tantalum (III)(η6-C6Me6) Ta (OAr) 2Cl (Ar= 2, 6-C6H3iPr2) and (η6- C6Me6) Ta (OAr) Cl2 have been alkylated and the new alkyl complexes compared to their halide analogues. For example,(η6-C6Me6) Ta (OAr) R2 (R= Me, Et, SiMe3, or Ph) complexes have been prepared and characterized by a variety of methods, including cyclic voltammetry studies.
