Abstract

Electrolysis of trialkylboranes using two platinum electrodes in the presence of α, β- unsaturated esters in an acetonitrile solution containing tetraalkylammonium halide as a supporting electrolyte, produces the corresponding alkylated carboxylic acid esters in good yields.
