Abstract
N-Heteroaromatic halides can be prepared from various starting materials. The general protocols mostly stem from the conversion of N-heteroaromatic hydroxy compounds because of their commercial availability and easy transformations. SOCl 2 , POCl 3, or PCl 5 6, 7 and 8 are used as chlorinating agents in the synthesis of N-heteroaromatic chlorides.
