Abstract

Since its discovery at the beginning of the 1940s electrochemical fluorination in anhydrous HF using nickel electrodes (Simons process) has been applied for the fluorination of different kinds of organic compounds [1], but only one example of electrochemical fluorination (ECF) of organo-phosphorus compounds, namely of trialkylphosphine oxides, is described in the literature [2].
