Abstract

Abstract: The direct conversion of phosphole into phosphirene complexes has been achieved by reaction of the former with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate and alkynes. The cleavage of the phosphirene ring in some PW (CO) s complexes has been observed with basic water, morpholine, and methanol under UV. In all cases, vinylphosphorus compounds are obtained.
