Abstract
The electrolysis of potassium acetate has been carried out in methanol solutions of 3, 3- dimethyl-1-butene. Twelve compounds were identified as reaction products. Among these were a number which resulted from molecular rearrangements. The implications of these regarding the mechanism of the reaction are discussed.
