Abstract
Based on recovered THF, the conversion is MnO,'/g of reagent give essentially the same conversions. See text. Isolated yield. Reactions have not been optimized. Zn (MnO,),/SiO,. e Mg (MnO,),/SiO,. fKMnOJSi0,. g 94% of the starting material was recovered. 61%. No deprotection was observed with silica gel alone under these conditions. J The reaction proceeds via the sulfoxide, which can be detected by TLC after short reaction times.
