Abstract
Results Chemistry. Ketone 2 was prepared from 119 by reduction with sodium borohydride- stannous chloride in ethano120 (Scheme I). In contrast to the conventional procedure, we found it necessary to combine the sodium borohydride with 1, prior to adding the stannous chloride.
