Abstract

Pyrrolo [2, 1-c][1, 4] benzodiazepines (PBDs) and the corresponding pyrrolobenzothiadiazepines (PBTDs) are attractive targets as natural and synthetic antitumour antibiotics and as non-nucleosidic reverse transcriptase inhibitors.
