Abstract
Abstract Dialkylthioxaphosphoranesulfenyl chlorides and bromides can be conveniently prepared in the reaction of the corresponding thioamides with hydrogen chloride generated in situ with trimethylsilyl chloride and ethanol. Stability of the chlorides and bromides obtained by this method is high and the yields are quantitative.
