Abstract

Abstract An efficient procedure for the regioselective tritylation of primary hydroxyl group of aldohexopyranosides and nucleosides using trityl chloride in the presence of 1, 4- diazabicyclo [2.2. 2] octane (DABCO) in dichloromethane has been developed.
