Abstract
Abstract Poly (1, 4-dimethyl-6-vinylnaphthalene) and poly (1, 2, 4-trimethyl-6- vinylnaphthalene) react with singlet oxygen to give corresponding endoperoxide polymers which on warming generate singlet oxygen efficiently. Singlet oxygenations by the use of these polymers have been described.
