Abstract

No previous investigators have reported the synthesis and polymerization of monomeric styrenes and or-methylstyrenes containing sulfide and sulfone groups substituted on the aromatic nucleus. We have undertaken the preparation of some typical examples of these compounds in order to observe their polymerization behavior.
