Abstract: Simple routes to four new dianions with high resonance energy per atom (REPA) and improved preparations for several other di-and trianions are given. REPA is calculated for delocalized dicarbanions and higher delocalized carbanions which have been prepared and many which have not. Most low molecular weight anions with a charge of less than 0.5 e per atom have REPA's indicating stabilization and most with 0.5 e or more do not. Simple ...
