Abstract
(1) Vinyl chloride and organohalosilanes were shown to react with finely divided metallic sodium in ethyl ether, and trimethyl-, dimethyldi-, triethyl-and dimethylphenyl-vinylsilanes were prepared. Of these, dimethyldi-and dimethylphenyl-vinylsilane are new compounds and their physical constants were given.(2) Infrared spectra of these four organovinylsilanes were obtained and certain characteristic absorption bands were discussed.(3) ...
