Abstract

A series of fluorinated alkyl aryl ethers, composed of hydrocarbon components, fluorinated alkyl groups, and ether linkage groups, were evaluated through a variety of tests to investigate lubricating properties. The basic molecular structure with tetrafluoroethoxyphenyl groups were shown to have excellent lubricities.
