Abstract

Glycosyl diacylglycerols are excellent lipids for the formation of both bi-and monolayer lamellar systems but they are generally not commercially available, and the synthesis of optically pure glycosyl diacylglycerols inevitably involves protection and deprotection of glycerol linkers.
