Abstract
The thiazole ring system is a useful structural motif found in numerous biologically active molecules. 1 This structure has found applications in drug development for the treatment of allergies, 2 hypertension, 3 schizophrenia, 4 inflammation, 5 bacterial 6 and HIV 7 infections.
