Abstract

Abstract Using 1, 4-dipolar-aryne cycloaddition methodology, a convenient, short synthesis of several fluoroanthraquinones is presented which involves the reaction of haloarenes and 3-cyanophthalides in the presence of lithium diisopropylamide (LDA) in tetrahydrofuran (THF).
