A series of benzothiadiazole-pyridine branched triphenylamine derivatives TPA1BP, TPA2BP and TPA3BP have been designed and synthesized to sense aniline vapor with distinguished sensitivity, selectivity and repeatability via photoinduced electron transfer (PET).
